May 2007 Baroody Withdraws Name from Consumer Products Safety Commission Gov. John Engler, president of the National Association of Manufacturers, has released a stinging rebuke against the campaign to fight the nomination of NAM’s senior lobbyist Michael Baroody to head the Consumer Product and Safety Commission.
